TU Pride is a continuation and revival of the initiative Pride.TU, originally started by our seniors on Instagram. By choosing the name TU Pride, we seek to honor the original spirit of that initiative while beginning afresh—with a renewed commitment to building a sustainable and safe community.

Does Thapar University posses Queer Folks?

Yes, like any diverse community, Thapar University includes queer students. TU Pride exists to support, represent, and create safe spaces for them on campus.

When did TU Pride came into existence?

TU Pride is a revival of the earlier initiative Pride.TU, which had already laid the foundation for queer representation on campus. We started afresh on 1st October 2024, through a group of committed students who wanted to build a more visible, sustainable, and supportive community.
